Regional Operations Manager
Reporting to the National Operations Manager the purpose of this role is to provide regional leadership and single point accountability to deliver safe, reliable and efficient operations of terminals, pipelines and logistics functions within a the NSW region, to ensure the safe delivery of products, to meet customer needs & support the sales function for marketing. This will include the implementation and operation of key systems, processes and procedures.
As we are a business that places the safety of our employees first we are seeking a productive & influential candidate to assist in delivering incident free, operational execution in the region for the receipt, storage, loading, and delivery of petroleum products. This role also requires the effective management of the daily operations of the Sydney to Newcastle pipelines(a key strategic asset for Caltex) and ensure sound risk management is achieved through compliance and governance processes.
The successful candidate will acquire the following essential attributes;
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline or relevant operational experience
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in the petroleum industry or related field
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems and safe work practices
- Commercial / customer focussed
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations, Major Hazards Facilities and relevant Australian standards
- Ability to provide strong leadership for a defined region and direct work groups to achieve objectives
