Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Organizational Development will be responsible to administration and implementation of changes to Compensation & Benefits Programs in APAC to ensure that offering is competitive and allows us to attract, motivate and retain employees in local markets.

Specific Accountabilities
  • Provides input in setting compensation and benefits strategies for APAC
  • Makes recommendations related to changes in APAC Compensation & Benefits programs offering
  • Leads research, design and implementation of approved Compensation & Benefits programs specific to APAC
  • Participate actively in Global Total Rewards initiatives related to Compensation and Benefits programs to ensure specific needs of the APAC region are taken in consideration
  • Provides input in the development, enhancement of Global Incentive and Sales Compensation programs and assist in implementation approved programs changes in APAC
  • Leads members of the APAC Compensation and Benefits team in the timely delivery of support and administration related to Compensation and Benefits programs in APAC
  • Provides guidance to the Benefits Coordinator in ensuring accurate and timely processing of benefits enrollment and changes
  • Negotiates contracts and manage local service providers relationships, where applicable
  • Ensure application of RIM's job classification approach in APAC is in-line with Global approach to maintain consistency for internal comparisons and external benchmarking
  • Assist Compensation & Benefits Analyst in identifying best surveys sources to be used for all locations in APAC and in establishing appropriate and consistent market benchmarking
  • Maintain awareness of changes in legislation impacting compensation and benefits in APAC and provide appropriate recommendations to the Director, Global Rewards and Director, OD Strategy APAC to ensure compliance with on-going legislative changes
  • This position manages a Compensation and Benefits Manager, Compensation & Benefits Analyst and Compensation & Benefits Specialist.
Qualifications 

Essential Skills And Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources or related discipline (or equivalent work experience) with strong analytical and financial skills
  • Professional Certification in Compensation and Benefits management is an advantage
  • Solid direct experience in compensation and benefits in a multi-national corporation with a management role
  • Established network of compensation and benefits resources for the purpose of sourcing information and services
  • Previous experience with design, implementation and management of compensation and benefits programs across several countries in APAC required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Position Summary

Position Summary

Manager, Communications & Media is responsible for leading and managing overall agnostic and brand marketing communications campaign, as well as media mix strategy.

Working under the leadership of the Director of Marketing, and other RIM internal teams, the Manager, Communications & Media will work to develop full marketing communications plan including media budget mix spending for the new product / service launch and product lifecycle.

In addition, the Manager, Communications & Media will be responsible to work with and lead the external local team (creative marketing agency and media buying agency) to develop "Out of the Box" and creating "Word of Mouth" marketing communications.

He or she will also manage and facilitate the communication between Regional marketing team as well as country internal and external marketing team for the execution of solid marketing communication plan, which suit best for country.

The successful candidate will provide the marketing support required to meet and/or exceed quarterly net activations targets for the respective carriers and successfully manage a discretionary marketing budget.

Role Description
  • Develop marketing strategy (above and below the line activities) and adapt regional marketing campaign and initiatives into appropriate local marketing mix elements, including retail marketing and consumer marketing promotion.
  • Driving marketing plan and execution on new product/service launch (as well as product lifecycle) set in the business plan, in line with geographic expansion.
  • Develop media mix strategy for each specific marketing communication campaign based on the consumer segmentation; including managing marketing budget mix, implementation, monitoring and also interface with finance on budget compliance and performance budget spend.
  • Working with the internal sales team to ensure that marketing programmes are directly aimed at fulfilling the needs of the business and are focused on demand/revenue generation
  • Aligning with the Regional marketing team to communicate the overarching BlackBerry value proposition alongside channel and consumer offerings
  • Co-ordinate and seek input from internal RIM functional teams where required within the proposed carrier partner marketing activity e.g. PR, Digital and Consumer Research / Insight team
  • Working with local and Global brand teams for brand/product/marketing strategy alignment, and for legal/brand approvals.
  • Directing and guiding the marketing message, promotion, and pricing strategy of each of our products with the carrier and distributor as required.
  • Managing our marketing agency partners to ensure that they are delivering exceptional, localized output in a manner and timeframe that meets our requirements
  • Liaising with the market intelligence and research teams to ensure that joint acquisition programmes are made based upon sound marketing research data
  • Engaging with the alliances and accessories teams to integrate key value added services/offerings into marketing programmes in order to enhance the BlackBerry user experience for targeted groups

Reporting to the Head of PR, East Asia, the Internal Communications Analyst will be responsible for the communication needs of RIM's East Asia organization. Working with a variety of internal stakeholders including senior leaders across the region as well as international colleagues based in different time zones, the successful candidate will be responsible for content creation across a number of digital and written channels, ensuring appropriate reviews and approvals are established. The ability to design, manage and complete multiple projects on time will be required, and flexibility and high responsiveness are critical to this role. Position Summary
  • The Distribution Account Manager for Brightpoint will be responsible for driving our regional distribution sales performance.
  •  This role requires a passion for all things BlackBerry built around a cornerstone of channel and 'supply side' optimization.

The Distribution Sales Manager - Brightpoint is expected to excel in the following:
  • Develop collaborative agreed run -rate/demand plan by analyzing partner sales data, demand forecasts, and inventory data weekly to derive a clear demand statement to ensure appropriate stocking levels.
  • Monitor the order backlog to ensure it reflects Partners true requirements and mitigate the risk of inventory exposure
  • In product constraint situations, manage partner expectations in regards to supply, and work with all stake holders to define and execute a plan to balance supply across all accounts/products.
  • Ensure we do not exceed inventory targets, justify cases where this might be required
  • Work Collaboratively with Sales to gain intelligence on deals, promotions and new store openings and all events that will impact the normal RR

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving Blackberry sales through various Enterprise channels in the Southern African market. As well as developing the capability of the sales channel. The successful applicant will be heavily involved in driving the adoption of BlackBerry to end customers as well as via channel partners and responsibilities will include account planning and joint selling activities, delivering training to the various sales teams within channels, delivering technology roadmap presentations and articulating RIM's corporate messaging to the channel and end customer.

Position Summary

Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager will work across all levels at RIM, as well as 3rd parties, to identify opportunities, influence their successful development, and realize a timely introduction that drives the adoption of BlackBerry's App World solutions across consumer users & business users.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining products and solutions for App World to address all customer segments including consumers, businesses, developers, content providers and fulfillment partners to provide a superior user, business and developer experience. This is a challenging, multi-disciplinary role which encompasses several technology and business areas including payments, user identification, user experience, application discovery, downloads and system administration tools. You will be responsible for product management activities in all phases of the product development process including product concept, product requirements, user interface and user experience requirements, and joint roadmap alignment with internal and external partners.

Key expectations/objectives include:
  • Performing market research and analysis as required.
  • Driving the successful implementation and results of identified opportunities.
  • Working cooperatively with development organizations and other product management groups.
  • Catalyzing the rapid development and deployment of new capabilities that increase mindshare with carriers/partners around the BlackBerry proposition and increase market awareness and familiarity with BlackBerry and App World.
  • Directing any necessary contract negotiations with 3rd parties.
  • Executive-level interaction to promote and support initiatives.
  • Establishing new processes, as required, to achieve the above goals.
Qualifications

Essential Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
  • 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in product management, including expertise with product management tools
  • Experience managing software product development projects through the full lifecycle
  • Proven leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Team player with proven ability to facilitate project delivery through high-functioning teams
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly growing, global environment, while quickly acclimatizing to multi-cultural issues and sensitivities, is required.
  • Able to travel for business (both domestically and internationally) is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge in E-Commerce, Web-based, mobile device applications
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and systems (general ledger)

Position Summary
This senior position will be responsible for operations support for the Platform Services Group. The desired skillset involves engaging with RIM R&D executives to help articulate the organization's direction and primarily execute non-recurring or infrequent deliverables. The ideal candidate will be a creative, analytical thinker who enjoys:
  • Taking ambiguous direction from executives, then turning that ambiguity into iterations of proposals for executive feedback
  • Creating and often bootstrapping new deliverables (presentations, new reports, governance processes, etc.)
  • Applying innovative, creative or conceptual thinking to analytic tasks
  • Reaching out to other groups to leverage existing work (where possible), recognizing gaps, and quickly filling these gaps with additional value add
  • Boiling down complex, multifaceted concepts into simple messages
  • Working within a distributed organization, both geographically and cross-organizationally
  • Responding to ad hoc executive requests that do not necessarily have a readily available answer
Responsibilities will include:
  • Establish Operations Support connecting both the Business side and Development side of the R&D organization through:
  • Creation of cross-functional forums
  • Creating governance to ensure business needs and regional marketing needs are addressed and auctioned within the R&D groups
Execute time-bound projects to support the R&D division. Examples could include:
  • Running a fiscal year planning process for the organization (creating a proposal, engaging stakeholders, executing the process)
  • Creating presentations for SVP to present at external and internal events
  • Engaging a team to come up with an estimate for the market size of a new product
  • Creating a proposal for regional real estate - creating a business model to determine what is the right answer for # of locations we should be in?
  • Responding to ad hoc exec requests for gathering info to communicate a key story
  • Screening vendor calls and inquiries for Senior Leadership
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Qualifications Preferred Knowledge:
  • Ability to respond quickly to executive requests and iterate through proposed deliverables
  • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects
  • Ability to see beyond the data to be able to analyze information and draw conclusions
