
This is a permanent position based in the Perth CBD with easy access to transport links.
Civil Estimator
Reporting to the Lead Estimator, your main roles and responsibilities will include:
- Review Client’s Tender documentation with a view to understanding the scope of work to be executed, the battery limits of the work, and the particular conditions of the contract as they relate to, and impact upon, the costs of executing the works.
- Input estimating data into the company estimating system CES2 (training will be provided)
- Produce and/or supervise the production of quantity take offs
- Develop construction methodologies and prepare preliminary construction schedules
- Review quotations from prospective subcontractors and prepare and/or assist in the preparation of technical and commercial bid evaluations
- Prepare direct and indirect cost estimates either from an assembly of subcontract quotations and/or from a first principles approach using company recognised benchmarks or recognised industry norms.
Please note this position will require some interstate and overseas travel from time to time for the purpose of site visits and for the purpose of tender preparation.
