Description
Reporting to the Director Gas Trading Accounting and F&PA, the successful candidate will perform marketing accounting functions related to the Canadian Natural Gas Trading Business

Responsibilities
  • Actively review access query exception reports
  • Review and resolve various system generated issues
  • Consolidate and deliver volume reports
  • Evaluate and provide Canadian deals summary
  • Ensure account reconciliations are accurate
  • Assist in reconciling intercompany transactions with equity accounting
  • Coordinate with front office to ensure that deals have been entered correctly
  • Provide coverage for other desks as need
  • Assist and work on other responsibilities and tasks as needed
  • Prepare, validate, and submit monthly physical accrual
  • Provide explanation of accrual to actual results
  • Validate and complete monthly reclassification entries (buy/sell, AR/AP, GST)
  • Make manual imbalance entries based on pipe position
  • Report monetary and physical volumes to government entities
  • Generate and validate monthly/quarterly URD analysis (IS, BS, CF, Budget)
Qualifications
Basic/Required Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong accounting and finance knowledge
  • CMA, CGA, CA designation is considered an asset.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel and SAP
  • High level of initiative, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task

Description
This position is accountable for the oversight of Commercial Compliance and Regulatory functions within the Canadian downstream business group. The functions primary focus is to ensure all internal compliance and regulatory activities for the Calgary downstream organization are monitored and adhered to, as well as ensuring our business group remains in compliance with external policies and guidelines. In addition, this position is responsible for the oversight of Canadian Contracts and Credit.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the oversight of Canadian Commercial compliance activities
  • Participate in trade associations and working committees with regard to new or changing regulations affecting commercial trade activity (CAPP NAFTA Working Group and Alberta Regulated Trading Information and Compliance Association)
  • Responsible for maintaining a compliance trade floor presence that allows for interactive communication between the front, mid and back office trading activities and compliance oversight
  • Actively engaged in trade floor activity as the first-line point of contact for Commercial Policy, regulatory questions or concerns
  • Oversight of trade floor activities against various Compliance policies coordinated by Houston (ie. Authorized Trader, Authority Limits)
  • Partner with Houston Compliance Operations to ensure compliance with training requirements, BIBC requirements, DRM policy and coordination of safety awareness for commercial organization
  • Support the Trade Monitoring & Surveillance function completed by Houston for Calgary office.
  • Coordinate the review, dissemination and testing of the Canadian Commercial Business Continuity Plan and coordinate same with Calgary Business Continuity committee and partner with Houston Compliance Operations to ensure adequate Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery plans are in place and tested for Calgary
  • Ensure DRM compliance for Calgary Commercial organization, including annual attestation, bi-annual Records Organization Campaigns and adherence to Corporate DRM policies
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, whether regulatory in nature or emerging technologies.
  • Manage group of contract analysts and administrators with the purpose of ensuring adequate documentation is in place to facilitate trading activities
  • Oversee credit activities of Canadian commercial trading groups to make certain we have adherence to prescribed Treasury mandated limits

Reporting to the Director Crude Oil Accounting, the successful candidate will perform marketing accounting functions related to the Canadian Crude Supply and Trading Business.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, leadership and oversight to team members responsible for commercial crude oil accounting and refinery Finance and Performance Analysis (F&PA) activities
  • Provide support to both internal and external stakeholders as it relates to commercial crude oil transactions
  • Provide leadership to the Crude Oil Marketing and Trading accounting team to ensure the accurate and timely completion of the accounting responsibilities including marketing and refinery margin analysis, U.S. and Canadian GAAP reporting, physical and financial transactional accounting, balance sheet account reconciliations, foreign currency analysis, inventory analysis and cash settlement.

Reporting to the Production Foreman, the successful candidate will be looking after sweet/sour gas wells and numerous field compressors and two multi well oil batteries. The shift is 9-5 and available to take callouts as required. The successful candidate must reside in the Drayton Valley area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities of the Security Officer include but are not limited to:
  • Maintains professional internal/external guest service: smiles, creates eye contact and uses Associate/guest names

  • Checks all unattended cash drawers and maintains general surveillance when Hotel funds are at risk
  • Reports maintenance and housekeeping problems to department Managers
  • Maintains chronological log on all security functions performed during shift and completes incident reports as required
  • Performs Associate security spot checks as required; Ensures duties on task list are completed
  • Assists Rooms Division Manager and Team Leader in special investigations; Performs other related duties as required
  • Administers First Aid to injured Associates in accordance with the Workers’ Compensation Board Act.
  • Liases with VPD or RCMP as required to gain or exchange information on special events such as protests, gang related activity, VIP visits etc.

This Person’s Decision-Making Authority Includes:
  • Day-to-day procedures and routines governing this function; Authority as assigned by the direct report.
  • Ultimate authority with respect to the transport decision of an injured Associate.
  • Ultimate authority with respect to the administration of first aid to an injured associate.
