The Role :

Oversee electrician journeymen and electrical high line maintenance technicians.

• Review all available well planning documentation available on the rig.
• Perform drilling operations as instructed by the Toolpusher, Customer Representative and Tourpusher.
• Confirm reporting on drill fluid conditions by assigned personnel.
• Maintain accurate record of down hole tool dimensions and identification numbers.
• Inform Toolpusher, Tourpusher and Customer Representative if a deviation from planned operation occurs.
• Keep accurate records of fluid displacement when tubulars are run in/pulled out of hole.
• Assist in the planning, organization and supervision of rig move operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Work experience and demonstrated ability of oral and written communications may be substituted in lieu of formal education.
• Valid Well Control and Drilling Technology certificates, and other Safety or Training courses (regulatory and company required).

Position Summary

The Crane Operator is the offshore unit's designated operator of all deck ranes utilized in the lifting and movement of all operations equipment, systems, supplies, containers, tubulars and other materials utilized in the daily functioning of the offshore unit as directed. During non-crane operational modes, the Crane Operator's work activity includes supervising Roustabouts and participating in various maintenance work about the entire offshore unit, to include paint preparation, painting, material/equipment movement, repair and maintenance of systems and equipment within various departments as assigned/directed on a project basis. During relocation of the drilling unit, the Crane Operator assists as directed in positioning the drilling unit on and off location.

Essential Functions

• Inspect cranes and associated equipment's condition to ensure operational integrity to handle upcoming heavy workload.
• Inspect and make available safe and proper rigging.
• Transfer casing from supply boat to casing rack.
• Measure, label, number and record joints of casing and other tubulars.
• Make available to the rig floor all tools and equipment needed to spud the well and run the casing.
• Maintain a constant supply of casing to the rig floor during casing running operations. Clear the rig floor of tools and equipment used in running the casing.
• Assign Roustabout(s) to the cementing unit to assist service personnel with their operation of cementing the casing.
• Inspect clean-up procedures after cementing operations, ensuring all drains are properly flushed clean of all cement residue.
• Ensure appropriate mud additives are relocated to the mud processing equipment in a timely manner.
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping work activities such as ensuring work areas are clean and equipment stowage is completed in an efficient manner to ensure personnel safety.
• Ensure materials, equipment and supplies are unloaded and back loaded to supply vessels in an efficient manner.
• Conduct maintenance on cranes as required.
• Conduct maintenance and inspection of all rigging equipment to regulatory standards.
• Perform maintenance on drilling tools as directed.

Position Summary

The Barge Engineer is responsible for carrying out the work activity and objectives established by Atwood Oceanics and the Offshore Installation Manager with the marine and deck operations crews. This includes but is not limited to vessel logistics, decks and hull maintenance and repair, emergency preparedness, equipment inspection and repair. The Barge Engineer is to conduct emergency drills as required, maintain documented compliance with applicable regulatory authorities, coordinate communications with workboat and helicopter operations, maintain vessel stability, maintain bridge watch, and maintain vessel on location. Per Atwood policy the Barge Engineer assumes the OIM’s position during all rig in field and ocean tow activities

Essential Functions

• Supervise operation and maintenance of all Marine equipment so as to minimize downtime and major equipment breakdowns.
• Assure vessel is in compliance with the applicable government rules and regulations, government agencies, and regulatory bodies. Specific attention is required in the following areas:

Initiate request for renewal of documents well in advance of expiration date.
Coordinate all Flag State and applicable regulatory body inspections in cooperation with shore based Operations Management.
Assure all documents, plans and notices are displayed as required.
Assure all vessel documents are in good order.

• Maintain safety and emergency equipment, fire fighting equipment,
• Maintain seaworthiness of drilling units.
• Conduct all required inspections and drills other than those directly related to the "drilling" function.
• Complete, submit, and maintain company-required paperwork to include:

Deck Logs
Crane Record Books

Classification Documentation

• Coordinate work boats and helicopter logistics involving drilling unit.
• Assure rig is properly loaded as to variable load capacity according to operating manual. Ensure that daily stability calculations are completed and recorded and "light ship" record is current.
• Supervises the following during rig moves:

Mooring operations (semi-submersibles)
Jacking operations (jack-ups)
Preloading (jack-ups)
Tow Vessel Operations (all)
Towing (all)
Watertight integrity (all)

• Supervises, trains and develops Ballast Control Operators, Assistant Barge Engineers, Crane Operators and Crews.
• Coordinate the Company’s Preventive Maintenance Programs relevant to marine equipment in cooperation with vessels maintenance staff.
• Maintain vessels lifting and rigging gear registers and arrange required inspections within the periods outlined by company policy.
• Operate in such a manner which results in achieving or helping to achieve the Operating Plan and Safety Goals in the following areas:
