Kaltim Prima Coal ("KPC") is one of the Company's subsidiaries and owns a mining concession area of 90,938 hectares. In 2009; from two areas of mining; Sangatta and Bengalon; KPC's coal production volume was 40.3 million tonnes. This volume increased by 2.8 million tonnes in comparison to 2008, which was 37.5 million tonnes.

Kaltim Prima Coal continues its exploration program to provide long term availability of coal to meet its planned production requirements.

Currently the company invite high qualified candidate to join us as Senior Surveyor (Code: SR-SUV) and will be place Kalimantan Timur (Sangatta) position with detail qualification below:

Responsibilities:

• Liasion with job requested from customer and to manage & controlling data information from in the field & data processing.
• Keep survey field & data processing using Minex-Ecs and KPC Survey Standard.
• Plan and coordination with field surveyor to contribute survey instrument. To achieve best practice the essentials of instrument checks and competent use need to be performed according to approval standard.
• Develop and maintain/review all system and procedures survey practice & process model survey regularly to ensure that the surveyors are optimal and If found any changing to discussed and solution with the superintendent.
• Co-ordinate and oversee KPC’s survey/drafting services to produce high quality plans, graphics and topographical models for exploration (geology & Geotech), drilling, Mine planning, Mine Contractor, Rehabilitation & Environmental, Drill & Blast, Technical Pit, Infrastructures, Civil Engineering construction projects.
• To asst the Supt survey for preparing small survey project if required (access road, topography etc.)
• Contribute to safety Health and Loss Control by conduction safety talks, identifying safety hazards, Prinasa, JSA, Safety inspections, implementing safety Health and Loss Control Elements and authorization to discipline subordinates who fail to follow KPC Safety Procedures.
• Investigation accidents within the unit and prepare accident reports for management and safety sections to ensure that similar incidents will not occur in the future.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degrees - Graduated from Geodetic Engineering with minimum 5 years Experience in coal mining.
• Extensive experience in GPS system (Processing GPS RTK, post processing Kinematics and static, network adjustment), Total Station instruments and leveling surveying.
• Good leadership, analytical, planning, scheduling, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) in both Bahasa Indonesia & English.

Currently the company invite high qualified candidate to join us as Manager Coal Technology (MCT) position with detail qualification below.

Responsibilities:

• Tertiary qualifications in Geology, Chemistry or Metallurgy.
• Broad experience and proven skills in coal management, stockpile management, coal quality inspection and testing and coal utilization at power utilities. As a guide fifteen (15) years plus experience, five (5) of which have been in a Senior position in Coal Technology or Superintending Company.
• Knowledge of geological modeling and mine planning and coal mining practices.
• Knowledge and exposure to a large number of coal mines, coal types, customers and end user facilities.
• Strong people management skills, ideally with training in supervision.

Qualifiction:

• Good communication in both written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Highly self-motivated and strong analytical skills
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Creative, self-starter, team player and having self-integrity

Requirements

• Hold an S1/S2 degree in the disciplines indicated above.
• Not older than 25 years (for S1) or 28 years (for S2) of age in the year of admittance.
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grade scale (for S1) or 3.25 on a 4.0 grade scale (for S2)
• Proficient in English (minimum at Intermediate level)
