Objectives of the Position:
- District Manager will lead key portion of NABU business, acting as the “district CEO” to build sustainable competitive advantage.
- Key focus will be on developing a high performance team capable of driving improved market share and operating income.
Relationships:
This position will work closely with operations and sales staff, Safety, warehouse and shop staff, Accounting and HR. They will also interact closely with Customer representatives, Vendors and Suppliers, as well as Industry Counterparts.
Entry Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (Engineering preferred)
- Casing Running experience a plus
- 5 - 7 years of management experience in oilfield service operations
- Demonstrated experience and capability in achieving breakthrough performance/ results by building a strong organization that:
- Is based on high performance, continuous improvement, and individual/team based environments.
- Anticipates and responds to address customer needs, problems and opportunities in a proactive, high performance fashion
- Can demonstrate success through robust metrics and a culture of accountability.
Demonstrated experience successfully managing capacity ahead of market demands. Successful candidate will articulate how they expanded or adjusted capacity(facilities, layout, staffing)
Principal Tasks:
Strategy:
- Understands and communicates Tesco Strategy at all levels of the organization
- Leads by example in driving Tesco culture
- Sets vision and drives actions/accountability that will drive sustainable competitive advantage while exceeding customer expectations.
Market Intelligence:
- Actively works with field and city sales team to understand, quantify and qualify market opportunities in the district.
- Working with Business Development Manager, develops and executes BD plan to increase market share and operating income
Equipment and facilities:
- Understands and actively manages equipment needs for the district
- Responsible for all physical assets for the district
- Budget’s and schedules routine and ad hoc facility maintenance
Talent/Employee Development:
- Work with Division Business Manager(and Training/Development team) to develop a plan for training and equipping our staff with proper knowledge and tools to be successful
- Final decision maker on all hiring and firing within district
- Proactively engages HR manager for:
- Headcount planning/forecasting
- Succession planning
- Retention
Financial Acumen:
- Assist in budget preparation and implementation
- Manage and control costs
- Profit and Loss responsibility for the operations you manage
- Actively uses Tubular Services Expectations Model to benchmark performance and hold organization accountable
Safety:
Proactively leads and develops a culture of safety
Specific Expertise:
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have knowledge or desire to understand casing running and torque turn equipment and maintenance.
- Must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment
