The Company invite you to join as the following position :

Naval Architect

Your role will provide technical support to Production for existing WEL's FPSO facilities and support new FPSO Development front end engineering activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Responding to technical queries associated with operating the facilities
• Developing engineering work scopes
• Managing engineering contractors
• Technical assurance
• Review of inspection anomalies and providing updates into risk based inspection strategies and plans
• Providing technical definition and direction in the evaluation of potential development concepts
• Assist in the development, assessment and award of concept evaluation work scopes
• Manage external engineering evaluation work scopes
• Assist in the definition of cost models and execution schedules consistent with the concept evaluation strategy
• Participation in risk assessments
• Development of assurance plans
• Participate in Joint Venture Partner reviews, discussions and workshops
• Input into the concept evaluation and selection reporting process

Classifications:

• Degree qualified in Naval Architecture or other relevant discipline
• Chartered Engineer
• Experience in the design and assessment of floating offshore structures
• Project management and strong client relationship management skills are essential
• Past experience in the design of floating systems, semi-submersibles, TLPs, FPSOs
• Construction and installation experience desirable
• Preparation and management of tender activities
• Practical/operational experience would be valuable but is not essential
