Telkomsel is a brand name of a GSM and UMTS Mobile phone network operator which is operating in Indonesia. It was found in 1995, and is a subsidiary of Telkom Indonesia. At the end of 2010 the company set 94 million subscribers or increased by 15 percent from last year and makes the operator celullar still the biggest network operator in Indonesia by market share.

Telkomsel Operates in Indonesia with GSM 900-1800 MHz, 3G network, and internationally, through 323 international roaming partners in 170 countries (end of September 2008). The company provides its subscribers with the choice between two prepaid cards-simPATI and Kartu As, or the post-paid kartuHALO service, as well as a variety of value-added services and programs.

Responsibilities:

D3/S1 minimal education and Electronic Information Engineering
Preferably a minimum of 3 years experience in same field
Server configuration experience in IBM
Mastering Linux (Slackware Distro precedence)
Mastering the MySql Database
Apache Server master
Master scheduling system Linux
Able to make the bash shell scripting for monitoring server as a value-added
Mastering the management system in Linux Disk
Never deal with a large capacity server as mail server and Datawarehouse
Able to perform housekeeping either file or database
Mastering Linux firewall configuration
Being able to compile the linux kernel without affecting the capacity of data security
Preferred able to flash Linux scripting
Willing to work shifting and placed anywhere

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
Required skill(s): Server IBM, Linux, server apache.
Preferred skill(s): mailserver, datawarehouse, shifting.
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Staff (non-management & non-supervisor)s specializing in IT/Computer – Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent. Job role in Network/System Engineer or equivalent.
