Our customers expect our premium vehicles to be thrilling on every level. And, as Suspension Design Engineer, you will ensure their ride is as smooth – or as sporty – as they desire. You will be responsible for suspension components of a Jaguar or Land Rover platform, taking charge of the entire process from concept to production.

It’s a weighty responsibility. Get it right on control arms, wheel hubs, knuckles, and cross-axis joints, and our customers will feel the difference. Your remit will include overall layout, design, durability, and validation. What’s more, you will have the chance to define design strategies for new components and systems.

Candidate Profile

We’ll look to you to achieve engineering targets, in stiffness and durability, while ensuring we meet demanding project timescales. To make this happen, you’ll need to be an outstanding communicator with the credibility to build relationships and make your mark with other departments and suppliers.

Driven to succeed, you will have a degree or equivalent in a mechanical or automotive engineering discipline along with a working understanding of suspension systems and design requirements. A proven track record of controlling design processes to achieve targets will be essential. And, as you’ll often work with other engineers to hit deadlines, experience of leading other engineers would be highly desirable.
