Position Summary

The Solutions Consultant is responsible for business development activities related to new account acquisition for GT Nexus' global trade and logistics portal. Key activities include working with US and European solution team across all enterprise customer verticals and GT Nexus solutions, researching accounts, identifying existing process challenges, building and conducting custom solution demonstrations, creating value-based business cases, moving prospects through the sales cycle and closing new business for the company. As business opportunities develop in region, play a more primary role directly with in-person sales meetings.

Growth areas offered by the position in the future include:

• Managing other Solutions Consultants
• Moving into other functional areas within GT Nexus, including Professional Services or Products or Engineering functions

Job Requirements

• 3+ years experience desired
• Prepare standard and custom solution presentations to support sales cycles in US and Europe
• Prepare standard and custom software demonstrations and associated demo scripts
• Prepare research briefs for sales teams detailing the business and financial background of prospective customers
• Construct ROI-based business cases for the GT Nexus solution(s)
• Respond to RFIs and RFPs
• Participate in hand-off presentations to customer support and portal services teams for customer-implementation
• Convey product enhancement requests and extension areas to products group as required
• Work with Product Marketing to transfer customer feedback and product enhancement suggestions
• Assist in strategic business development opportunities with partners and analysts

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in the international transportation industry (Ocean / Air Freight / 3PL)
• Existing knowledge of supply chain and transportation business processes
• Strong technical skills, especially data management, RDBMS, Java
• Strong Office Automation Skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)
• Exposure to financial supply chain operations and concepts
• Experience in enterprise-class technology applications, especially hosted delivery model
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Sales/business development experience
• Working knowledge of business-to-business electronic communications (EDI, XML)
• Demonstrated desire to secure new business as an individual contributor
• Passion for contributing to a growing business and fostering a team atmosphere
• Effective communicator with both Strong written and verbal skills
• English language a must
• Bachelor's degree is a must, international business focus desirable
• Master’s or advanced degree a plus

Highly Desired Skills:

• Supply chain certification/s
• Previous experience in sales, solutions consultant or implementation role at a software company in the supply chain/transportation space
• Experience with Supply Chain Logistics software

Work Environment:

• Qualified members will be located in Bangalore, India
• Company issued laptop is provided
• Internet Service at home is a must; company will provide a VPN access
• Some travel is required, including overseas
