Mine Production Superintendent
Reporting to the Mining Manager, the Mine Production Superintendent will involve in managingthe underground mine contractors and subcontractors, also will ensure that PT. DPM production
team is recruited and trained to provide necessary support and management of the mining
contractors.
This is a fly in / fly out roster position.
The key roles and accountabilities include:
- Management of the principal mining contractors, explosive supply contractor and any other mining sub-contractor as required.
- Responsible for delivery of projects related to surface infrastructure, establishment of the mining portals, underground horizontal and vertical development, underground infrastructure, production activities in the mine to commence and maintaining ore deliveries safely, as planned, on time and budget.
- Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections of malfunctions within process; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within contractors and between departments.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel and resources; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of development and production on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly production summaries.
- Ensuring that all mine production activities are conducted safely and in accordance with all company and statutory requirements.
- Processes invoices and other payment requests related to assigned projects.
- Preparation of the reporting, correspondence and other documents, accountable for accuracy and timely delivery of the reports.
- Liaise with the Processing Plant department to ensure the feed quality of ore is maintained.
- Investigation of all relevant accidents and incidents.
The successful candidate will possess the following key criteria:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, 5 years of which includes demonstrated ability to lead a Mine Production team while achieving production targets in hard rock underground metallic mines.
- Experience in starting up underground mines.
- Emphasis on safety awareness.
- Optimisation of daily operations.
- Previous exposure to poly-metallic underground mining.
- Understanding of contract laws or demonstrated experience in managing mining contractors.
- Valid light vehicle driver’s license.
