Description
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Member of Regional TP&S Team to oversee third party product procurement and lend related support to the countries through different phases of TP&S propositions and orders.
- Manage the 3rd party scoping, vendor evaluation, selection and RFQ process to support the TP&S Team in the tender phase / quote phase (early involvement).
- (Considering, costs for delivery, install, training, warranty, lifetime service costs)
- Facilitate Supplier meetings regarding project requirements (e.g., specs).
- Participate in selected customer meetings covering 3rd Party content.
- Negotiation of 3rd party products, supplier contracts against the best price/quality/availability in line with (margin) targets for the specific projects.
- Provide MOU, RPA & Back to Back Contract Support for TP&S Projects.
- Oversee country Purchasing activity on TP&S Projects.
- Support Bid Manager with input of 3rd party cost analysis and pre-cal assumptions.
- Organize hand over to country TP&S manager to execute the purchase orders / delivery dates.
- Create Vendor database to ensure leverage and manage the supplier relationship
- Provide execution support to some of the countries as and when allocated in terms of project planning, execution tracking and reporting of cost upsides, time over-run etc
- Provide guidance to the country teams on technical issues related to installation/commissioning & maintenance as per modern/latest engineering practices
- Attend customer meetings during execution review
- Support country teams to form and articulate the sub-contracting scope & terms and tackle sub-contractors disputes, technical issues during execution
- Visit work sites and hold regular meetings with local TP&S/Project Managers and sub-contractors to review execution progress and help remove road blocks, expedite pending decisions
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferably with Materials Management, Industrial Management
- 5-8 years relevant working experience in Project Purchasing/Project Management
- Results driven, business/customer minded
- Proven relations management skills
- Hands-on/practical, self-starter

- Technical and commercial affinity
- Team player, relationship builder, stakeholder management
- Negotiator
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English and any other local language
