Mine Survey Superintendent

Reporting to the Mining Manager, the Mine Survey Superintendent will be responsible for the
establishment and maintenance of site survey standards, survey operating procedures, controls,
training needs and programs, preparation of monthly reports, and ensuring all survey work
complies with the requirements of the applicable Indonesian regulations and company standard.

This is a fly in / fly out roster position.

The key roles and accountabilities include:

• Provides survey planning, direction and management of specific tasks related to survey work associated with PT. Dairi Prima Mineral projects and facilities.
• Coordinate contractors and consultants to ensure timely and accurate establishment of survey control points and measures, as well as survey database.
• Responsible for establishment of local survey grid, surveying standards and procedures for the project.
• Ensures legal responsibilities as described in the Article 17 and Article 18 of the Decree of the Minister of Mines and Energy Number: 555.K/26/M.PE.1995 on General Mining Occupational Safety and Health.
• Statutory plans compilation as required by the applicable mining laws and regulations.
• Cadastral surveying in compliance with applicable legislations.
• Prepares final deliverable survey plans and performs calculations necessary to provide required information including, but not limited to areas and volumes.
• Establishment and management of control and monitoring measures related to surveying, including surface slope monitoring and underground convergence measurements.
• Compiles and assesses survey data and other technical information and prepares reports.
• Accountable for selection, maintenance and calibration of all surveying instruments.
• Responsible for training and management of personnel under direct supervision.

The successful candidate will possess the following key criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Survey, Geodetic, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Geo-technical or other generally recognized field of engineering or survey from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 10 years surveying experience, of which 5 years of relevant underground survey experience, 2 years of which included senior underground surveying experience.
• Only those persons in possession of a surveyor certificate recognized by the Chief Mine Inspector shall be appointed as a Mine Surveyor.
• Advanced computer skills in one of the major mining software.
• Demonstrated expertise with advanced surveying equipment, for example: Leica TPS, and
• GPS, CMS.
