Making advanced use of multi body system (MBS) analysis tools, you’ll enjoy a valuable impact on the future of Product Development Engineering. Using a range of MBS analysis tools, with a particular focus on developing ADAMS MBS models, you’ll assess and optimise whole vehicle systems for loads and durability. The vehicles and component loads delivered will be a crucial input to component design, FE analysis and rig testing.

What’s more, you’ll be expected to actively develop new methods and techniques to enhance CAE capabilities in this key area. Your goal will be to minimise physical prototype requirements, and you’ll be instrumental in delivering these on a range of future programmes. Naturally, you’ll be required to work closely with durability development teams to develop a consistent approach, and ensure correlation with physical tests.

Candidate Profile

To join us, you’ll need advanced knowledge of vehicle loads and load path analysis, backed up by proven experience of delivering vehicle and component loads. Demonstrable proficiency in the use of ADAMS or Simpack software is essential. Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject, you’ll combine strong mathematical skills with a sound understanding of engineering principles. Ideally, you’ll have experience of incorporating flexible bodies, tyre models (preferably F-Tire) and active systems. The ability to deliver technique and process improvements will also be a significant advantage.
