Atkins is one of the world's largest global design consultancies. Our Oil and Gas Division is a leading independent supplier of engineering and specialist services to the Oil and Gas industry, and we have been providing solutions to the Oil and Gas sector since 1975.

We provide services across a wide range of disciplines and applications covering fixed and floating offshore structures, terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants and pipelines. Atkins has worked on over 1,000 Oil and Gas Installations and 60% of our Oil and Gas Revenues now come from beyond the North Sea. We work on some of the most exciting and varied projects in the Oil and Gas sector.

Senior Process Engineers are responsible for aspects of engineering design to meet the technical competency expectations of Atkins and its clients.

As a senior member of the core business function, Senior Process Engineers communicate effectively with the other engineers, Project Leads, Atkins management and client representatives to ensure the company’s reputation for high quality products and services is maintained.

Responsibilities:

• The delivery of process engineering design in accordance with the relevant industry codes and standards whilst meeting best engineering practice
• The provision of highly professional services tailored to meet the needs of our clients
• Ensuring all calculations and design work is prepared in accordance with the Atkins Quality Management System

Qualifications / Skills Required:

• The successful candidate will have a Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Professional membership with the Institute of Chemical Engineers or equivalent
• You will have more than 5 years oil and gas industry or refinery experience with some of this in a multi-discipline design environment
• The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Project engineering skills to ensure studies and projects are delivered within agreed budgets and schedules
• Some experience in typical topside unit operation would be an advantage
• Particular experience in identification and screening of development concepts and FEED
• Experience in feasibility, concept selection and front end engineering studies
• Knowledge of various codes and standards such as API 520 / 521, AS, ASME / ANSI/NORSOK as appropriate
