This is a crucial role within the department responsible for developing the innovative new products that make our vehicles so desirable around the world. Transforming product intent into useable information, you’ll take the full range of engineering and marketing requirements for a new product, and create detailed, logical feature specifications. Working closely with Programme and Brand Management teams, your work will encompass all Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, from concept to run-out.

The data you produce will be authored and maintained in sophisticated IT applications, and will be used across the business to enable everything from order placement, through supplier schedules, to manufacturing specifications, to happen. You’ll be responsible for making sure specifications are aligned between Engineering, Manufacturing and Marketing systems, as well as handling queries and playing an active role in the implementation of feature changes.

Candidate Profile

Ideally qualified to degree level within an engineering or technical discipline, you’ll certainly demonstrate proven experience of Product Definition creation and change management, using a feature coding application. When it comes to managing multiple global market specifications and requirements, you’ve got the experience, motivation and organisational skills to manage your own tasks successfully. Naturally, you’ll also need to demonstrate strong team working skills. Experience of process improvement and standardisation will be an advantage, but isn’t essential.
