Supply And Contract Superintendent

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Supply and Contract Superintendent plan and
organize the transfer of goods, materials and services from suppliers to the DPM, by making
sure that the process is done effectively, on time and cost effective. Also to ensure that
Company interest is protected in respect of contract administration activities in compliance with
the company procedures & policies, terms & condition of individual contracts of all the supply
related activities.

This is a fly in / fly out roster position.

The key roles and accountabilities include:

• Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protest continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities that benefit DPM.
• Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models.
• Review and propose a comprehensive list of suppliers for bid processes developed by analyzing the industry to understand trends and competitive positioning in order to ensure system activation of the best possible supply base.
• Develop a negotiation strategy that delivers against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.
• Manage and conduct the process of performing bid evaluations and prepare recommendation documentation for award and/or tender cost input.
• Negotiate the best possible contract, commercially and contractually.
• Apply the expediting process to measure, control and report on supplier delivery, performance of equipment, material and documentation in terms of acceptable quality, effective cost and on-time complete delivery.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and work according to DPM processes, business code ethic and use of supply change management tools.

The successful candidate will possess the following key criteria:

• Having bachelor degree is a must, having a master degree is preferable.
• Have work experience minimum 10 years in supply chain management and contract administration.
• Strong logistics/compliance knowledge and good understanding of industry best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of customs laws and concepts, applicable Indonesian laws and regulations to contract administration related to mining industry.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to interface seamlessly with all levels of management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Indonesian and English.
• Sound knowledge of ERP and procurement systems.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complexity, ambiquity and time pressures.
