IT Development Manager
Job Descriptions
  • Develop and execute IT Development plans, and manage schedules, resource allocation and budget. This includes managing joint development with 3rd party vendors, and managing outsourced development.
  • Ensure, and provide software development framework, practices and operations to ensure reproducible development and high quality, while keeping costs under control
  • Drive overall architecture, technical guidance, security and certifications of software application
  • Ensure development meets or exceeds user requirements. This includes ensuring that product designs are well document and communicated.
  • Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review and design of the software, including technical review and analysis of source code. Will include reviews of in-house developed code, as well as review of technologies provided by 3rd party vendors.
  • Active in project management to ensure that software application delivered on scheduled and in high quality. This includes ensuring that every phase of software development process documented well
  • Evolve the existing software applications and architecture in various areas as needed.
  • Manage application support, resolving software issues in timely manner
  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, monitor, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development
  • Helping developers resolve problems both technical as well as human resources issues , tracking and approving vacation and personal days for employees within their teams and monitoring individual employees
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from reputable university
  2. Minimum 7 years experience in application development, with minimum 2 years experience in managing development teams.
  3. Strong J2EE programming skills and knowledge on Java Technology is required
  4. Strong Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
  5. Good experience on Oracle Database and other RDBMs
  6. Good experience in networking and managing server
  7. Wide knowledge of the IT industry and the current standards
  8. A willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues as part of maintaining the skills necessary to manage and advocate products and projects.
  9. Have excellent communication and management skills.
  10. Ability to communicate in English (both oral & written)
