Engineering Technical Services (ETS) provides a 'backbone' resource to the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Product Development function through the provision of world class test and development facilities, prototype build capabilities and a wide range of engineering technical services.

Candidate Profile

To join us, you’ll need an engineering related degree together with practical experience in one or more of the following specialist areas: Instrumentation Supporting the measurement requirements of our 'internal' customers helping them with data measurement enquiries and requests. Advising on the application of sensors/interfaces & data acquisition systems for monitoring/measuring temperature, pressure, voltage/current and load/displacement.

Safety Test - Safety Test provides a wide range of test capabilities within the laboratories at Gaydon and Whitley. Tests range from CAE support to legal and in house standard certification of components, systems and complete vehicles covering a wide range of safety related areas. Data is recorded and analysed using a wide range of instrumentation, high speed photography and data analysis tools.

Road Load Data - The Advanced Analysis team within Engineering Technical Services provides a data analysis and software development service supporting Product Development. These analyses include Fatigue comparisons, Spectra or Frequency content, Cycle Classification, Route Correlation, Data Manipulation, Signal Generation and Data Retrieval from the extensive databases.

Business Planning - Providing the ETS team with it’s operations budget creation and expenditure monitoring, resource planning and tracking to deliver the product creation plan. Developing business objectives and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPI's and metrics) across the department.

CAD Tool Design - Our prototyping workshops manufacture prototype tooling & components and as an experienced CATIA V5 user with tool design experience you will develop tooling proposals for component & BIW panel manufacture through our in-house prototyping facility. Materials Engineering - The multi-material disciplinary team provide specialist consultancy services to the whole business ranging from material investigations, selection and specification advice, material testing and analysis, and material technology research and developments for new products.
