Currently, we are seeking a Electrician II to join the Atwood Condor.

Position Summary

The Electrician is responsible for various duties including but not limited to the operational integrity, maintenance (preventive maintenance), installation/removal of electrical equipment, repair and documentation of the entire offshore unit's electrical systems and equipment to include all refrigeration and air conditioning systems, all electrical power generation sources, rectifiers and circuits, transformers, power distribution equipment, electrical motors and controllers, performing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting system faults and failures, of all electrical equipment down to the component level. The ultimate objective of this position is to ensure that electrical power is supplied where and when needed, that all electrical systems are within safety and regulatory body compliance standards and all electrical equipment remains operative throughout the operation.

Essential Functions

• Maintain all certifications as required by appropriate regulatory authorities.
• Must be thoroughly knowledgeable in the use of the Company's Hot Work Permit and Lock Out Tag Out system onboard any operation assigned.
• Participates and contributes in the following activities: Safety Meetings, Training Sessions, Outside Schools and Safety Drills
• Must be knowledgeable regarding various functions of the other rig departments for safe and efficient interface of job duties.
• Must represent the Company in a professional manner both on and off the job to include confidentiality of Company and client business.
• Practices safety at all times while on Company property.
• Completes as directed any required paperwork.
• Work under pressure as ''down time'' during drilling operations can present major difficulties, loss of dayrate and cause undue delays to the client.
• Performs any other duties, which may be directed by the supervisor.
• Document any change to drilling unit electrical/electronic systems.
• Have understanding and experience with electrical systems used on drilling rigs today:

SCR Ssytems
VFD Drives
Power Generation Systems of Various Voltages
High Voltage Systems
Programable Logic Controllers
Analog Trouble Shooting of Circutiry
DC and AC Motors up to 1500 KW utilizing AC and DC Voltages
Series and Shunt Power Systems
General 120VAC Single Phase Systems
600/480/220VAC 3 Phase Systems

Minimum Education and Skill Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 5 years of related experience with Technical skills such as: computers, electronics, calibration, hydraulics, pneumatics and comprehensive knowledge of oil and gas process equipment.
Must have the ability to interpret electronic schematic drawings (to component level) of pneumatic loops, hardware relay logic diagrams, motor control circuit diagrams, etc. and troubleshoot faults remotely - without being at equipment.
Ability to extract, read and understand data loggers.
Ability to communicate to other technical people in verbally and in writing.
Must have good mathematical skills to include basic algebra for calculation of electrical/electronic equations.
The ability to understand equipment operation, analyze problems, identify solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals.
