Job Description

This is a temporary position for a research associate at Bio-Rad and within our New Product Introduction and Product Sustaining team. With overall responsibilities including the successful introduction of new consumable products into Manufacturing and the technical support of existing product lines, the successful candidate will apply their laboratory knowledge and skills alongside other R&D staff to support the efficient introduction of new products into Manufacturing, and provide troubleshooting and procedure validation as required with our existing products. The candidate will also be expected to maintain an industry standard laboratory notebook and write technical reports on their work.

It is expected the candidate will promote a safe work environment and comply with all company quality standards.

Required Experience

• Direct laboratory experience with methods used in protein expression, protein purification and biochemical reactions, including electrophoresis, chromatography, and protein staining/conjugation. Experience with manufacturing process development, including tangential flow filtration (TFF) would be a significant benefit.
• Process-oriented individual who can work both independently as well as in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment, where priorities may change quickly.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and summarize results clearly, concisely and accurately is required.
• Industry experience, although not required, is preferred.

Education:

• BS or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related discipline
