Procurement Officer

Work Location: Jakarta

Requirements:

• Use recommended sources of supply for goods, materials or services and obtain quotations for requests and specifications received from other staff or departments.
• Maintain contact with suppliers to ensure that quality of material purchased is to company standards.
• Purchase materials, equipment and supplies at the best price in relation to quality, quantity and delivery requirements.
• Become familiar with and maintain a good working knowledge of JD Edwards system where it relates to procurement.
• Maintain approved vendors supplier list.
• Ensure all purchases are within the Grant Of Approval authorisation limits.
• Coordinate dispatch of goods to authorised persons and the completion of documentation and records involved.
• Obtain Material Safety Data Sheets for purchases of chemicals.
• Liaise with Export / Import Coordinator to ensure cost-effective and efficient customs clearance, importation, exportation and general freight requirements involved in the movement of products and equipment.
• Liaise with Export / Import Coordinator notifying initiator / requestor of E.T.A for outstanding orders.
• Other duties as directed.

1. QHSE procedural knowledge.
2. Strong knowledge of freight and purchasing procedures.
3. Good customer and employee interpersonal skills.
4. Good knowledge of relevant computer software.
5. Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal Bahasa Indonesia communication skills
7. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
8. JDE experience

• 2 years of technical experience in the purchase of commodities, materials, equipment, and/or supplies.
• 5 years of technical experience in the purchase of commodities, materials, equipment, and/or supplies.
• Diploma qualification in Business Management or relevant subject
