The role is key to the profitability of the operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, included but not limited to:
- Comply with all PTNNT Occupational Health and Safety requirements as well as those required under the Decree of the Ministry of Mines and Energy 555.K/26/M.PE.
- Ensure Department’s compliance with the requirement of Indonesian Government Agencies, lending institutions, shareholders’ interests, environmental, health & safety legislation and company regulations.
- Accept personal responsibility for the health and safety of every mine worker under or assigned to his/her supervision.
- Provides strategic direction and leadership to all Maintenance functions within the Mine.
- Establishes and manages Mine Maintenance goals and objectives.
- Establishes and maintains Mine Maintenance standards.
- Promote projects and programs within the Mine that provide continuous improvement in the areas of safety, environment, production and efficiency.
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills while managing and motivating an effective team.
- Ensures the transfer of technology from expatriate to national employees and the promotion and support of national employee training and skill development.
- Creates and implements policies and procedures that result in optimum effectiveness, productivity and operating cost.
- Responsible for the development and management of manpower, operating and capital budgets for the Mine Maintenance departments.
- Responsible for equipment availability and that all equipment and plant is properly serviced and maintained. Responsible for activities of contract Maintenance supporting the mining effort.
- Performs capital evaluation of projects
- Ensures the ongoing development and succession planning of personnel within the Department
- Ensures the development of sound equipment replacement strategy to meet operational needs.
- May be required to travel to and assist other domestic and international sites.

Qualifications
Ideally applicants should have:
- B.Sc. or MSc Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of Maintenance related experience is required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of related Supervisory experience.
- Experience in the management and administration of budgets and financial controls in a multinational company.
- Strong leadership and a people oriented outlook.
- Good written and oral communication skills
