Atwood Oceanics is dedicated to being a leader in safety, health, environmental matters and security, and to providing the industry with outstanding rig and employee performance.Currently we are seeking a Crane Operator to join the Atwood Falcon, a Semi-Submersible Rig that will be operating in Australian waters.
Position Summary
The Crane Operator is the offshore unit's designated operator of all deck cranes utilized in the lifting and movement of all operations equipment, containers, tubulars, casing, supplies and heavy or bulky materials throughout the rig, storeroom, motor room, sack room and rig floor work area; operating cranes to offload and backload supply vessels, barges and crew boats, including the moving of personnel with the aid of a personnel basket; training, directing and supervising roustabout crews; training, directing and leading Fire Response Team in the proper emergency duties; assisting the Mechanic, Electrician and Welder as needed and requested; participating in various maintenance work about the entire offshore unit, to include paint preparation, painting, material/equipment movement, repair and maintenance of systems and equipment within various departments as assigned/directed on a project basis; reports to the Barge Engineer; demonstrate leadership skills and a detailed knowledge of the Company’s Safety Management Systems and Procedures, ensuring personnel under your direction work in a safe and efficient manner while complying with all company rules and regulations.
Essential Qualification/Skill Requirements:
- Must be in possession of a Tower Crane Ticket
- Minimum 2yrs Offshore Crane Operating Experience
- Valid OPITO Approved TBOSIET/BOSIET

- Dogman’s Ticket
- Rigging Certificate
