Job Description

The Structural Designer Specialist will be responsible for projects and tasks in support of McDermott's offshore oil and gas production platform design, fabrication and installation engineering efforts.

• Structural PDMS administrator will support the structural drafting department and report to the Structural Drafting Supervisor.
• Perform general PDMS Admin (borders, title blocks, setup jobs, catalogue cats and specs)
• Create and maintain templates, joints and fittings for design and draft
• Coordinate with our overseas offices and establish standards

Qualifications

• 10 years or more in structural design and 5 years or more in a Structural PDMS Administrator position, and with following experience.
• General admin in setting up jobs, borders and title blocks
• Setup and report structural weights, CG's and material take off.
• Structural catalogue Cats and specs
• Create joints and fittings using design templates and paragon
• Proficient in PML programming
• Education Required: Some College Coursework Completed
