Senior Maritime Designer

Job description
You will act as Senior Maritime Designer on a range of projects principally relating to the field of maritime planning and engineering. You will supervise design staff and ensure delivery of maritime designs within programme and budget constraints. More specifically you will:- Take on a position of technical centre of excellence with respect to maritime design for the Business Group.
- Supervise and contribute to (pre)feasibility and port planning studies.
- Supervise and contribute to engineering design calculations, engineering design details and engineering reports for a range of projects relating to the field of maritime engineering.
- Supervise and contribute to the production of technical, commercial and contractual documents for procurement of engineering and / or construction projects.
- Promote and maintain satisfactory Client relationships and be responsible for retention of business with specific Client bodies.
- Contribute to the development of the Client base through the production of proposals and interaction with Clients.
- Participate in the development of new Client bases.
- Liaise with other divisions of the Royal Haskoning organisation.
- Provide advice and expertise to more junior staff.
- Carry out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have gained a minimum of 10 years experience in the design and planning of (large) maritime structures, preferably while working for a consultancy firm, and are familiar with achieving the right balance between the financial, technical and time aspects in a project.
- (Academic) degree in (Civil) Engineering.
- Mastery of the English language. Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Russian language skills would be an advantage.
