- Candidate shall be conversant and familiar with Oil and Gas Industry Instrument and Control systems such as Distributed Control System, Safety system and PLC package units. This position is for Sr. Control System Technician reporting to Control system Engineers in Maintenance Technical Support Division. Incumbent must have specific experience of control system maintenance to undertake routine, non-routine and troubleshooting of Instrument & Control systems involving ‘state of the art’ technology deployed at a large process industry. He shall be familiar with maintenance/configuration of control/safety systems such as Foxboro I/A, Delta V DCS and good hands on experience in handling Triconex/ABB August SIS, Modicon / HIMA/Siemens PLCs and PC based HMIs. The Candidate should be familiar with process control technology and should be able to interpret documents such as P&ID, Logic Diagram, Cause and Effect Chart, Control Narratives, Loop Diagram, System Interconnection drawings of process industry.
- Completion of secondary education (10 years) followed by 3 years of formal trade training in Instrument or Control system engineering crafts, General knowledge in computing technology. Familiarity with networking technology, computer hardware troubleshooting and software application/programming and technologies such as OPC, MODBUS will be an added advantage. Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- 6 years of hands on experience with Control Systems maintenance/installation/commissioning in oil and gas sector or chemical process industries.
