Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 annual salary including shift allowances & overtime

Job Description

This is one of the most essential leadership roles in our business. Reporting to a Production Manager, you will lead a large team of production operators to deliver products of outstanding quality, on time and on cost. It’s a fast paced environment with world-class production systems.

You’ll be at the heart of the process. As well as leading and motivating your team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring safety and maintaining the working environment. Monitoring processes and internal audits, you’ll use your knowledge and experience to facilitate ongoing improvements. Driving forward lean processes, you’ll ensure cost and quality objectives are achieved.

Candidate Profile

Flexibility will be key to your success, as you could find yourself working on any shift pattern in any area of the plant – Press Shop, Body Construction, Paint or Final Assembly. Automotive experience isn’t vital. What’s crucial is proven manufacturing expertise, including familiarity with lean techniques, ideally developed within a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. With appropriate engineering or technical qualifications, you’ll also need an understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001.

You will be an inspirational leader with a proven ability to motivate and develop people. You will need to combine a keen appreciation for process adherence with a determination to solve problems, reduce waste and drive improvements that count. You demonstrate confident, high level communication and coaching skills, and the ability to give constructive and valued feedback. A career at Jaguar Land Rover will challenge you every day.
