Job Description

• Adopt the health, safety, environmental, security, and quality programs of the company
• Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure work area is clean
• Mentor and actively assist in training and development lower level Pipe Fitting employees
• Perform craft related math
• Understand and support Hydro Test Pipe Systems and components
• Read ISO's, drawings and layout for pipe, supports, and equipment and installs accordingly
• Cut pipe and support material using cutting torch, saws, pipe cutters, cutting machine, and bank saw
• Connect pipes by using threaded connection, glue or butt weld
• Thread pipe hangers and brackets to hole pipe
• Retrieve specified type and size of pipe
• Cut and drill holes in obstacles to permit passage of pipes
• Assist other Pipe Fitters by gathering materials, holding materials, and getting tools
• Disassemble and remove damaged and worn pipe
• Capable and willing to step up as leaderman in the event the leaderman is absent or on vacation

Qualifications

Experience

• Must have previous experience with Pipe Fitting in a Marine Fabrication Environment

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a Pipe Fitter's Test​ at the McDermott Weld Lab
