Job description

You will act as medior port consultant & project manager on a range of projects principally relating to the field of maritime planning and engineering. You will contribute to maritime projects, supervise staff and ensure delivery of maritime projects within programme, quality and budget constraints. More specifically you will:

• Contribute to (pre)feasibility and port planning studies.
• Contribute to engineering design calculations, engineering design details and engineering reports for a range of projects relating to the field of maritime engineering.
• Contribute to the production of technical, commercial and contractual documents for procurement of engineering and / or construction projects.
• Lead medium sized project teams and ensure projects are delivered within time, budget and meeting quality requirements.
• Promote and maintain satisfactory Client relationships and be responsible for retention of business with specific Client bodies.
• Contribute to the development of the Client base through the production of proposals and interaction with Clients.
• Liaise with other divisions of the Royal Haskoning organisation.
• Provide advice and expertise to more junior staff.
• Carry out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role.

Profile

• You have gained a minimum of 3 years experience in the design / planning / managing of (large) maritime structures / projects, preferably while working for a consultancy firm, and are familiar with achieving the right balance between the financial, technical and time aspects in a project.
• (Academic) degree in (Civil) Engineering.
• Mastery of the English language. Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Russian language skills would be an advantage.
• You aim at working in the Netherlands and / or overseas and accept the challenges in social life and working in different cultures that go with it.
