Atwood Oceanics is dedicated to being a leader in safety, health, environmental matters and security, and to providing the industry with outstanding rig and employee performance.Currently we are seeking a Cook to join the Atwood Falcon, a Semi-Submersible Rig that will be operating in Australian waters.
Position Summary
As a qualified chef, you will prepare the meals for the staff. Liaising with the Head cook, you will input into creative menus, and be responsible for the supervision of support staff in the kitchen and dining room. You will have impeccable food handling hygiene standards, and manage your safety and the safety of those around you at all times.
Essential Functions:
- Plan and schedule menus and food services.
- Liaise with the Head Cook on menu selection/rotation
- Assist with the supervision of utilities and kitchen hands on duty
- Attention to general hygiene and safety
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, sanitation and attractiveness of galley and dining rooms.
- Maintain continuity of performance and company standards with alternate Cook on crew change.
- Record data concerning inventory controls, work assignments, personnel activities, meal and lodging reimbursement records, etc.
- Order and receive all Catering Department supplies, including food stuffs, equipment, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and personal hygiene of Catering Department personnel.
- Maintain meal sign-up sheets.
- Minimise and eliminate any waste, and establish a cost conscious planning effort within area of responsibility.
- Perform or assist in the performance of special tasks or projects as may be assigned by the Head Cook.
This position is a 28 days on 28 days off roster.
To be considered for this position you must be a Citizen/Permanent Resident of Australia, and be able to obtain a clear Federal & State Police Clearance Certificate.
