Shell Upstream International Asia operates in seven countries - Malaysia, China, Philippines, New Zealand, India, Brunei and Singapore.

Responsibilities:
Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform Petrophysical engineering studies and activities leading to the construction of subsurface models and field development plans.
• Provide Petrophysical support (operational & evaluation) to the exploration team.
• Drive the preparation of the data acquisition program within the team.
• Ensure functional quality in all exploration,appraisal and development projects including HSE critical activities. Prepare mitigations of the HSE critical activities pertaining to data acquisition activities.
• Promote applications of new technology (interpretation techniques / hi-tech tool) where it can add value and ensure the transfer of petrophysical expertise throughout the petrophysics community for mutual benefits.
• Ensure Petrophysical engineering activities in the assets are executed in line with the established Minimum Standards.
• Participate in Technical Excellence and Value Assurance Reviews.
• Quality control of Petrophysical data within project and corporate databases.
• Actively contribute to the Regional Petrophysics skill pool.

Accountabilities

• Provide Petrophysical expertise in studies and operational support to exploration,appraisal and development drilling activities.
• Identify and document petrophysics HSE critical issues. Ensure well and work-over proposals from Exploration,Development and Well & Reservoir Management Teams meets HSSE minimum standards and that all Petrophysics associated HSE critical items be effectively managed and mitigated.
• Represent the subsurface team in engagements with all stakeholders

Requirements:

• Qualifications / Experience required
• Minimum qualification of a BSC in a technical subject.
• Strong background in Petrophysical operations and formation evaluation work
• Experience in carbonate and shaly sand evaluation and regional exploration studies.
• Thin bed analysis experience would be an advantage
