Responsibilities:
- Deliver Reservoir Engineering technical services to support and enhance all field development execution activities,working together with Well Engineering,Project and Maintenance Engineering and Asset Operations as required.
- Deliver RE technical services that focus on "putting the R back into WRM" and help drive the team towards excellence in pro-active reservoir management,to improve field performance understanding and to generate/mature opportunities for optimising oil production and/or securing gas supply.
- Fully understand and apply regional standards owned by the Reservoir Engineering discipline (production forecasting,integrated reservoir modelling,hydrocarbon resource volume management,well and reservoir management,field development planning and pore pressure prediction). (4) Help to supervise and instruct other reservoir engineers assigned to the team - supporting staff development via technical guidance,mentoring,coaching etc.
- Depending on candidate skills/experience,assume the responsibilities of a Subject Matter Expert,focal-point and/or co-ordinator of specific field management activities within the team.
- University degree in a technical/scientific subject, preferably in Petroleum Engineering.
- At least 10 years of EP experience with an emphasis on field/reservoir management and subsurface support for operations.
- Solid grounding in Reservoir Engineering and the fundamentals of Geoscience.
- Good understanding of the risks and technical issues associated with subsurface, wells and surface development opportunities.
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to work independently, as well as challenge and support others.
- Experience coordinating activities and working in large, diverse multi-disciplinary teams.
- Track record for generating opportunities and delivering business results.
- A good understanding of integrated gas systems, gas contracts and associated gas field planning issues.
- A good understanding of the field development/management challenges of mature oil fields.
- Experience and proven skills in the start-up and subsequent management of waterflood projects and/or deepwater developments would be a significant plus.
