Senior Buyer

Wor location: Batam

Job Description:

• To manage the overall operation of the Batam Purchasing organisation.
• Human Resources Management : selection, management, assessment and promotion of employees in the area of responsibility to ensure long-term corporate success with competent and motivated employees.
• Define procurement strategies to ensure long term, cost-effective supply of products/ services and deployment of purchasing targets and goals to site purchasers
• Ensure Zero Line down as a result of supplier related performance
• Monthly analysis and reporting of operational performance for both site and corporate management update
• Enforcement of purchasing control via implementation of all relevant purchasing processes and methods within Infineon
• Drive towards Zero Deviation of all related audits at Purchasing
• Continuous awareness for all new executives at site on the Golden Rule of Supplier Engagement
• Carry out contract and price negotiations to contribute to the profitability of the company.
• Carry out analysis and controlling of contractual agreements for re-negotiations, initiate appropriate measures and guarantee supplies.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Administration or Engineering

Experience / Knowledge:

1. At least 5 years of solid experience in purchasing with high focus on indirect purchase.
2. Possess strong analytical skills and knowledge in key purchasing processes, e.g. RFP/RFQ, tender process, audit compliance.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication (English) and negotiation skills with proven track records.
4. Good experience in using Microsoft Office application
5. Candidate with SAP MM – PUR knowledge would be advantages
6. Experience in team leading and possess excellent people management skills
