Instruments Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Possess Technical Assurance to project design (DEM1/2 Compliance) and system implementation
• Responsible for field construction supervision that achieves ready-for- use target completion date and within approved project budget
• Ensure compliance to HSSE standards and requirements
• Ensure Security Standard compliance and sustaining the process
• Support Roll out DSM-Std, identified and close gap and sustain the process
• Development of site Instrumentation infrastructure master planning (eg DCS system upgrading/replacement)
• Provide Technical Services to Shell Jurong Island (SJI) Instrumentation Engineers in resolving issues and problems in instruments which will lead to improvement in reliability and availability
• Provide assurance that Maintenance department carries out all reporting as per SAP schedule and submits Monthly reporting
• Coordinate site IPF study in support of system implementation
• Provide assurance that all instrumentation/QMI related work procedures and procedures for the system maintenance of DCS system for ISO certification are kept up to date and in compliance to Company ISO9000/14001 procedures
• Working closely with the Documentation Management Group Supervisor, to provide assurance that instrumentation documentations and records are filed accordingly
• Sustaining Instrument competence personnel for SJI through competency development including providing new operator training on site instrumentation
• Provide assurance that instruments ordered are from Shell approved vendor, which have proven records in providing high reliability instruments in the Shell group
• Design and implement infrastructure projects
• Provide support in KPI tracking and analysis to improve site instrumentation reliability and availability

Requirements:

• A Diploma in Engineering with at least 8 years of experience in Project Engineering and Maintenance experience. Alternatively, a Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics) with at least 5 years in proven project engineering and maintenance experience
• Prior experience in project and maintenance in the oil & gas, chemical or petrochemical industry
• Prior experience as a site assurance focal point
