Description

Reporting to the Team Leader of NGL & Equity Gas Accounting, the successful candidate will perform marketing accounting functions related to the NGL products within Western Canada.

Responsibilities

• Complete the monthly invoicing and balancing of NGL sales within Western Canada
• Prepare and input all payable/receivable journal entries required to record monthly transactions
• Reconcile monthly NGL pipeline activities including reconciliation and valuation of product inventories
• Prepare monthly NGL Netbacks and distribute to production accountants.
• Prepare monthly regulatory reporting submissions
• Monthly reconciliation of several balance sheet accounts
• Handle inter-company transactions and settlements with E&P
• Provide accounting support and analysis for F&PA.
• Act as a liaison between the Marketing department and the Canadian Operations Accountants

Qualifications
Basic/Required Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in a relevant field of study
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting and/or Finance
• Strong accounting and finance knowledge
• Understanding of upstream operations
• Legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictions

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel and SAP
• High level of initiative, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision in an open trade floor environment
• Excellent communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset
