Talent Logic current job opening for position as:

IT Field Engineer / Team Lead

Responsibilities:

• Interact with customer for all support and maintenance requests
• Handle level 2 operational and maintenance tickets from level 1 helpdesk support escalations
• Perform on-site and/or remote troubleshooting for problem isolation for hardware, software, network and storage systems
• Perform configuration migration on equipments for faulty hardware replacement situations
• Maintain both internal and external documentations to keep information updated with the most recent changes
• Participate in information sharing session with provisioning and project management teams for all projects that has operation and maintenance agreements
• Coordinate and perform escalations to higher level of support teams or external vendors in a timely and orderly fashion when necessary

Requirements:

• Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field
• Minimum 2 - 3 years experience in supporting corporate/enterprise environment of servers, network and storage systems
• Ability to handle Windows Server OS and /RedHat Linux systems.
• Experience in virtualization systems such as VMWare & Hyper V
• Hands on experience in handling e-mail and or collaboration tools such as Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes Domino etc
• Ability to handle backup software Eg. Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec NetBackup, CA ARCserve etc.
• Good understanding of Cisco and Juniper routers, switches
• Possess knowledge on Storage Technologies Eg. NAS, SAN, FCP, NFS, CIFS
• Added advantage for those with knowledge on Security and Bandwidth optimizing products - Proxies, Firewall, IDS, IPS
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English and Chinese to liaise with counterparts
• Ability to converse in Japanese is highly advantageous
