Role synopsis 
The position reports to the PSCM Wells Execution Manager. The scope of responsibility includes effective execution of procurement and supply chain activities within the boundaries of pre-established framework and supply agreements for wells services and equipment. Executes Wells sector strategies and implements PSCM Wells contractor safety management, supplier quality management, supplier performance management and contract compliance activities within Region. Builds and manages local supplier relationships. Complies with the Procurement Operating Standard and complies with local government and partner requirements. Ensures formal call-offs against contracts are raised.

Key accountabilities 
  • Builds effective relationship with Line organization in office and field
  • Promotes compliance with BP's code of conduct and the procurement operating standard within cross functional teams and with suppliers
  • Works with the Line to develop demand plans and assists in the development of statements of work and develops the contracting plan
  • Actively tracks the supply market and uses Market Intelligence to provide input into Market Sector Strategies and sourcing.
  • Participate in Strategic Sourcing activities and input to Supplier selection for the region.
  • Implements Category Management, and Anti-Corruption Due Diligence requirements for Wells Categories
  • Utilises financial analysis and ‘should cost modeling’ skills to evaluate supplier price review proposals
  • Active participation in Category Management Global Network to share best practices and learning's and influence the Category agenda/priorities
  • Develop effective Contract Implementation Plans including development of contract briefs and schedule of responsibilities and works closely with wells organization to implement the plan
  • Execution of regional supplier management and contractor oversight
  • Implements rigorous contract management including raising contract amendments and contract call-offs and expediting services and equipment when required.
  • Supports preparation of recommendations for internal / external stakeholder approval of key procurement decisions.
  • Leadership, development and performance management of team members
  • Assists audit teams regarding Wells PSCM data and record keeping requirements (internal and external)
  • Continuous improvement in Contractor Safety performance and operational risk reduction with particular focus on Potential High Consequence Activities (PHCA) and improvement in process safety
  • Input to region wells and PSCM risk registers and implementation of mitigation actions
  • Support implementation of Contractor Safety Management Program and Supplier Quality Management common process
Essential Education
  • Bachelor in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Business
  • Administration, Engineering or technical discipline
  • Essential experience and job requirements To be considered for this role applicants must have:
  • 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field
  • Strong purchasing, supply chain or contracting experience in oil and gas products/services, Candidates with strong sales and marketing/product management experience in well services will also be considered.
  • Good communication, listening and influencing skills
  • Experience in developing or responding to bids
  • Experience in supplier management or customer management
  • Experience in negotiations and contracts
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time to fulfill responsibilities of this

Desirable criteria & qualifications 
  • Deep Wells PSCM product/services and market knowledge
  • Formal PSCM certifications (e.g. CIPS, IACCM etc)
  • Experience in oil and gas industry government, partner or joint venture contract approvals processes
