Reporting to the Head of PR, East Asia, the Internal Communications Analyst will be responsible for the communication needs of RIM's East Asia organization. Working with a variety of internal stakeholders including senior leaders across the region as well as international colleagues based in different time zones, the successful candidate will be responsible for content creation across a number of digital and written channels, ensuring appropriate reviews and approvals are established. The role will also involve preparing and managing senior leaders for internal and external speaking engagements to ensure they have the communications support they need.

This role will also work on projects and support new product launch efforts, develop and implement communications strategies that increase employee awareness, understanding and commitment aligned with the organization's mission, vision, values, and goals. Aligned with senior internal leaders and colleagues, the Internal Communications Analyst will seek to engage the business unit's diverse and regionally dispersed employees through organization-wide communications plans that deliver lively, timely and accurate information (news, events, and corporate and human resources initiatives). Customer-facing communications will also be in scope, as will be the assignment of work and collaboration with team members based in other sites.

This strategic thinker, planner and advisor will build strong, trusting relationships with internal clients and colleagues. Excellent written and verbal presentation and communications coupled with excellent organizational skills are a must. The ability to design, manage and complete multiple projects on time will be required, and flexibility and high responsiveness are critical to this role. Experience and knowledge of communication strategies, principles and techniques are also mandatory in this position.

Position Summary

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Proactively anticipating and managing communications issues as well as provide strategic counsel and support in consultation with senior internal leaders.
• Developing and executing both internal communication strategies and tactics in partnership with senior internal leaders and colleagues located in other global locations.
• Creating comprehensive, strategic communication plans for major initiatives and changes.
• Providing guidance and consultation with team members on best practices to align and reach intended audience.
• Supporting new product and service launches by participating as a member of the project launch team and providing internal and partner communications.
• Building strong and positive relationships with key internal customers throughout the organization and the company.
• Other duties as assigned related to supporting and advancing the overall communications strategy.

Qualifications

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• Communications, Public Relations or related degree, combined with a minimum of five years of experience in a corporate communications position.
• Superior understanding of key communications tools (communication plans, web, newsletters, special events, videos, photography, social media, etc).
• Working knowledge of communications-related computer skills are required (MS Office). Multimedia knowledge and editing skills is an advantage.
• Expertise with online, web, social media and technical tools is a must.
• Need to work successfully at all levels of the organization.
• Understanding of Asian and international cultures is a must. International experience is desirable.
• A proven track record that demonstrates strategic use of communications to achieve objectives is paramount.
• Experience of having successfully managed agencies, internal communications and issues and crises.
• Excellent written and verbal language ability - fluency in English is required. Additional Asian language(s) are a clear asset.
