Role synopsis
The Completion Supervisor will report to the Wells Team Leader in Angola.
The Completion Supervisor is responsible for the co-ordination of all rig site operations for sandface, upper completions, intervention and well testing/cleanup (as required) activities including all aspects of HSSE, planning, execution and contractor performance, ensuring all contractors are fully aware of their roles and are prepared to execute them when required. Role is primarily offshore/onshore on a 4 x 4 week rotational basis but will require onshore supervision to ensure that completion and 3rd party suppliers equipment is ready for mobilisation prior to rig based completion operations.

Key accountabilities
- Ensure participation with contractor SMS and BP policy and procedures
- Participate and contribute to onshore planning meetings, pre-job meetings, offshore planning meetings and pre-tour meetings
- Provide operations technical input to completion programs
- Prepare and liase with materials controller/integrity engineer to ensure timely delivery of equipment offshore for completion operations
- Witness completion assembly make-up and testing.
- Preparation of completion tallies, accountable for all space-out calculations
- Manage electronic well file folders
- Review, understand and disseminate to all contractors and rig based staff the completion programme and operational procedures and ensure adherence by all parties
- Supervise all rig site preparation of completion, intervention and well test activities as required to ensure all interfaces associated with the rig are fully addressed and resolves prior to operations commencing
- Collate relevant well data on behalf of the onshore completions team
- Review and confirm finalized completion calculations
- Maintain and record lessons learnt during the operations
- Ensure adequately resourced to meet operational demand
- Support completion equipment qualification process
- Input to final well reports, participate in pre-completion meetings, post completion wash-up meetings
- Ensure accurate daily reporting of operations and accurate, timely reporting of completion installation.
- Preferably Degree or Higher School Diploma but Minimum of 10 years practical well completions / well services experience preferably subsea.
- Have valid HUET, Offshore Medical and IWCF Well Control Certificate (Subsea BOP Supervisor level)
- Participate in/lead, as appropriate, planning and pre-completion meetings, post completion wash-up/continuous improvement sessions, to ensure procedures are updated as appropriate, in conjunction with completion engineers and service company personnel.
- Ensure the completions and testing interfaces (equipment layouts, permanent equipment requirements, hazardous areas, procedures, etc.) associated with the development drilling rig are fully addressed and resolved prior to operations commencing.
- Support completion equipment qualification process (equipment reviews, yard trials, stackup tests, etc).
- Lead delivery of safe operations by undertaking regular safety observation tours, Advanced Safety Audits, Time Out For Safety discussions, Task Based Risk Assessments and Toolbox Safety talks.
- Preparation of completion and testing programmes in conjunction with operations completion engineers and service companies.
- Effective management of resources (equipment and personnel) relating to completion operations.
- Supervision of completion & testing operations to execute the completion & testing programmes, ensuring accurate and timely daily reporting of installation operations, use of tangibles, rentals, services are logged and maintenance of accurate equipment inventories.
- Coaching & training of national supervisors & engineers.
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:
- Practical well completions / well services experience preferably on subsea wells.
- Planning and co-ordination of offshore completion & testing operations.
- Preparation of manuals & procedures and contractor management.
- Offshore HSSE leadership.
- Ability to work productively in a multi-cultural environment.
