Position Summary

Implementation Consultant position within a Professional Services group of a Software company. This role will play business and/or technical consulting roles on customer implementations. The software is delivered in Software as a Service (Saas)/On-Demand environment and the candidate will work directly with global customers to implement existing solutions. Qualified candidates should have experience in professional services implementation work primarily as a business or technical analyst. The ideal candidate should have experience in International Supply Chain and should have worked with diverse groups in a fast-paced environment and is extremely comfortable working online.

Responsibilities:

• Become an expert in our SaaS Implementation Methodology
• Work with remote team of employees supporting an implementation
• Responsible for driving day-to-day implementation work as assigned on one or many projects.
• Working within project team(s) under the direction of a Project Manager(s) and Solution Architect(s) to accomplish the project objectives
• Technical work can include facilitating technical gap assessments for key integrated files, working with customer's partners to integrate to the network, and configuring (hands-on) the solutions.
• Business analyst type work of customer requirement gathering and documentation, training, and rollout are also activities of candidates in this position.
• Leading the effort on key tasks and working with Analyst, Solution Architect, and Integration Architect. Focusing on project deliverables and meeting deadlines.
• Creating data translation mapping specifications and as per Integration Design agreed between customer and GT Nexus and perform String Test.
• After training on products is provided successful candidate should have the ability understanding the full suite of products with the ability to answer "how-to" questions and troubleshoot technical questions.
• Own specific project tasks related to cutover and go-live activities
• Own the configuration of the system to ensure the use cases are met and adoption is rapid
• Be part of the weekly status meetings between the customer and the Implementation teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering to support QA efforts and the migration of customer data, and participate in Engineering QA work (e.g. executing customer specific QA test cycles).
• Understanding and managing customer expectations (scope creep) and executing the appropriate Enhancement Request for customer required changes.
• Working directly with customer's executive sponsor to ensure that rationale / value for the project is clearly documented and agreement is reached on how value based uses cases will be implemented.
• Representing customers in internal discussions on product feature prioritization.
• Escalating issues that need additional focus / attention by management (both on Customer and GT Nexus side), especially when it will impact project timeline.
• Provide a daily/weekly briefing to project manager on project status.
• Working directly with customer end users and managing a hand-off to Support Team.
• Job will require you to have late night or early morning calls.
• Quick and accurate and should be able to multi-task.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and Masters in Computer Science
• Qualified experience in implementation
• Effective communicator with both Strong written and verbal skills. English language a must

Desired Skills:

• Supply chain certifications is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations, author requirements documents, drive enhancements.
• Experience in basic SQL.
• Understanding of XML messages/files
• Understanding of EDI Messages (example, EDI 850, 856, 315, 214, 861, 214, 210, 300, 301, 304, 310, 315)
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot technical issues.
• Experience in the international transportation industry (Ocean / Air Freight / 3PL) a plus
• Implementation experience with Supply Chain Logistics software a plus

Work Environment:

• Company issued laptop is provided.
• Internet Service at home is a must; company will provide a VPN access.
• Some travel is required.
