Provide corrosion mitigation solutions within the team environment ,support material selections, coating selections, chemical regime assessment, and provide directives to facilities;
Provide root cause analysis and reporting based on Shutdown / Break down reports;
Undertake office based mechanical integrity assessments for static equipment as per BWO procedures;
In the course of normal duties update equipment registers within the internal BWO systems;
Participate in facility upgrades, major shutdown and turn around programs as required (office and field based);
Carry out integrity / corrosion assessments on board offshore facilities as required;
As part of the team, develop / refine procedures , programming, implementation and integrity assessments of facilities;
Jointly develop the fleet corrosion management plan;
Review UT gauging and other integrity related reports and advice corrective actions as required;
Review and provide the engineering solutions for Management of Change Requests from facilities as per procedure;
Provide input for improvement of Maintenance Management systems.

Responsibility and authority
Provide technical solutions related corrosion and corrosion prevention to Technical/maintenance by managing corrosion risks effectively and raise awareness of Corrosion Management across BW facilities / units.Key tasks and Responsibilities

Qualification requirements
Education
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Chemical / Process / Metallurgical engineering or equivalent with experience of 5 years offshore/onshore oil and gas industry or
- Diploma in Chemical / Process engineering with experience of 10 years offshore/onshore oil and gas industry.
- At least 1 year experience onboard FPSOs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of corrosion prediction and analysis, corrosion mitigation, material selection, chemical treatment, and mechanical integrity assessment.
- Knowledge of degradation mechanisms in the oil/gas industry and demonstrated use of corrosion management (inspection and monitoring techniques) to solve issues.
- Application of gas/fluid stream chemistry expertise to solving corrosion issues in process equipment.
- Sound Analytical Capabilities.
- Self Motivated and will take the Initiative.
- IT - MS Office/Excel/MS Project/PowerPoint.
- Proven interpersonal skills, culturally aware and demonstrated experience of working within a multi-cultural multi discipline environment.
- Good verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Needs to travel to any BW Facilities.
- Needs to support the Facilities during or outside normal working hours.
