Description
- This candidate will be a member of Platform Hosting Systems (PHS) database shared service team and will be responsible for managing Oracle and SQL shared service activities that include installing, maintaining and tuning the Oracle RAC and SQL clusters in the development and testing environment.
- This job requires excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivation and ability to learn quickly is essential.
Required skills:
(MUST possess these required skills to be considered)
- Building and supporting Oracle 10g and 11g RAC for a minimum of 7 years
- Designing and sizing distributed database management systems
- Monitoring, analysis and tuning of Oracle databases to achieve optimum performance.
- Hands on experience with setup and maintaining Oracle Streams
- Stored procedures analysis and debug, and performance metrics analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to develop stored procedures in both SQL and PL/SQL.
- Physical database maintenance and tuning.
- SQL server 2000, 2005, 2008
- SQL database administration, Tuning, Management.
- Experience with Solaris and Linux operating systems
- Knowledge about Golden Gate replication
