Position Summary
This role leads the delivery of Blackberry branded retail store construction projects at a program level, including suppliers, to ensure store construction projects are delivered on time, to scope and within budget, while maintaining the highest standard of build quality. The successful candidate will be part of a regional team and assist with the management of new and existing 3rd party provider agreements.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Work closely with Store Design team to ensure all retail formats have components that maintain the high level of finish required and can be built without risk to budget.
- Develop and Implement store build tender process.
- Develop a cost optimisation process to implement once we have established the appropriate level of standard across each retail format.
- Develop and implement a Retail store delivery online portal to enable visibility of the program and its outputs for all stakeholders
- Management and forecasting of all retail store construction project delivery dates and associated resourced required to deliver.
- Monitor and report on both costs and build status at a project and program level focusing on the coordination of Internal team members involved in the store construction process and Construction Delivery Partners to achieve delivery on or under budget.
- Manage all variation requests for all construction projects to ensure each project remains on budget.
- Monitor and manage the resolution of store delivery defects via Construction Delivery Partners to achieve agreed KPI levels for initial defects & resolution timelines
- Maintain the highest standards relating to finishes for all Blackberry retail store formats
- Manage the Blackberry retail store delivery governance operating rhythm and ensure the right stakeholders are engaged
- Engagement and management of 3rd party construction partners
- Maintain all built Blackberry retail stores from a maintenance perspective to ensure no impacts to stores ability to trade successfully.
- Document all processes and identify process improvement opportunities
- Management and processing of all build related invoices ensuring on time payment to suppliers and no variation to original quotations
- Ensure individual objectives are agreed with manager, and then working towards achieving them.
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- Tertiary education qualification (degree or equivalent)
- 5 to 10 years' experience in a store delivery role and/or Project Management role
- Advanced Retail store design awareness
- Sound attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of the Retail Store build / delivery industry
- Ability to develop and embed new process
- Fully competent in deal structures, contract structures (T's & C's) and scheduling
- Achievement-orientated
- Business & commercial awareness
- Excellent analysis, problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Telecommunications industry experience
- Organizational sensitivity
- An effective and enthusiastic team-player, who creates positive working relationships
- Enthusiastic self-starter with a positive attitude
