Job description

• The major challenge of the position is to motivate line management and main contractors to hold HSE in the highest priority and to advance the development of a positive HSE culture, including improvements in Safety Behaviour. The position requires extensive knowledge of project activities including SIMOPS, Construction, Pipe laying, Hook Up activities as well as a good understanding of production operations (live process plant and the hazards associated with this).
• The job holder organises and conductes monitoring programmes to assess and report the status of Contractors HSE performance during the lifecycle of the designated project
• Advises and assists Project Senior & Line Management, Superintendents and Supervisors concerning HSE issues to ensure project activities and personnel operate within Company policies
• Review & comment on project procedures and ensure adequate risk assessment requirements have been carried out, monitor compliance with implementation of procedures, risk assessments and work permit controls are being applied in Yard Facilities and on Company Sites on designated project.

Required skills
Education

• Bachelor degree in any engineering major

Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience in similar position

Skills

• Evidence of appropriate formal training in key activities noted above
• Good inter-personal skills, well organized, good written and oral communication skills including English language (language of the project) and computer literacy;
• Ability to work on his / her own initiative but function as an integral part of a team;
• Flexible and pro-active approach.
