Description

General Smmary:

• Responsible for performing technical support activities involving the installation ,commissioning , integration, testing of multiple product type telecommunications networks, swapping risk control and associated communications environments to meet customer telecommunications requirements.

• Ability to produce technical reports including test methodologies, system requirements, scopes of work, results analysis, and technical recommendations.

• Must be able to interpret customer requirements and then document designs, recommendations and solutions for distribution internally and externally.
• Able to gather data and information, make judgments and evaluations, produce specific action plans and execution methods, and produce viable solutions based on project and technical requirements and standards.
• Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of one or more of the following Datacom Network technologies/systems:
• Router, Switch
• BRAS
• Firewall
• Willing to travel up to 50%.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of Datacom Networks.
• Perform as Technical Leader in the area of Datacom Networks.
• Provide system requirements for networks, designs, installation, integration, capacity, maintenance, and performance.
• Double check data scripts for Datacom Networks and support for risk operation.
• Design and develop test plans and test cases for Datacom Networks.
• Provide network deployment and support for Huawei customers and third party suppliers on deployment projects and programs.
• Prepare SWAP plan and Human Resource, Carries out field cut-over operations as required, control risk of SWAP, and meet requirement of the downtime.
• Perform advanced system diagnostics, debugging, and performance analysis.
• Perform call and message flow analysis and protocol troubleshooting with Huawei equipment and third party equipment and interfaces.
• Train customer’s personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities
• Provide customers with data/voice/video network technical support including problem escalation resolution and take responsibility for customer satisfaction with equipment and servicing.
• Create reports on all activities and generate solutions. Must be able to produce customer presentable documentation and reports.
• Provide detailed written feedback to R&D on design requirements, system troubleshooting and validation, to include test methodologies, log files, results analysis, conclusions and recommendations for improvement.
• Work closely with Product Verification teams, R&D, Project Management, Customer Support, Sales & Marketing, and third party vendors to coordinate technical solutions and provide Core subject matter expertise.
• Perform PAT and achieve customer’s signature of PAC for Datacom Networks according to the project schedule in time.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other Technical field or equivalent education and experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Required Certification/Licensure: Vendor Certification in relevant areas of specialty. CCNP required.

Experience:

• Two+ years experience in IP network engineering or security support role.
• Knowledge of Data Communication theory, proficient in L2/L3 switching, STP/MSTP/RSTP, VRRP, TCP/IP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, LDP, L3VPN, L2VPN, VPLS, QoS, Network Security and VOIP.

Technical Knowledge/ Skills:

Intermediate telecommunications and broadband access experience; advanced ability to read and interpret customer documentation, specifications, prints and drawings; advanced ability to detect and resolve errors; advanced ability to perform multi-product upgrades on in-service equipment and advanced hardware, functional and network testing on multiple customer products.

General Areas of Knowledge:

Intermediate interpersonal, leadership, time management and negotiation skills; intermediate customer service skills; intermediate ability to effectively communicate technical plans, strategies and designs to all levels, both verbally and in writing; demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple tasks.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift/carry materials up to a maximum of 50lbs
