Chief Surveyor Data Base

Responsibilities
  • Long Description : Chief Surveyor, GIS & Data Base
  • Basic Function : Monitor, review, control, approve, and direct quality control program and apply the update survey technology to optimize work effort and maximize data result, including manage all databases compilation from all survey area (surface-underground-68-low land-community project surrounding COW) in order to correct data result for assignment and issue on time comply with dept's goals and objectives.
Job Responsibility :
  1. Monitor, controls, and enforces Company's safety and environmental policies to subordinates to ensure survey/mapping activities are conducted in safety and environmentally manner.
  2. Review, monitor, approve/take the decision, maintain, and update the implementation jobs regarding to Survey Database, Geographic Information System, and New Survey Application to ensure the job completion according with planning and standard required also support and fully contribute to UG operation activities.
  3. Monitor, review, and develop Survey Database, Geographic Information System, and New Survey Application for further applications in PTFI and ensure the data are documented and registered as a future references.
  4. Review and monitor all routine and special report such as development heading, worksheet, drawing maps, coordinates and special project report for decision-making and external information to ensure all activities run smoothly and support the achievement of dept's goals.
  5. Develop, design, and implement Standard Operating Procedure for survey activity as guideline for subordinate performing their duties in a safe and timely manner.
  6. Analyze and evaluate the current systems/methods to identify also develop and identify recommendation (e.g., new survey application) based on effective and efficient methods for preventive action and continuous improvement and to keep up to date with the current technology and requirement and to support the jobs both internal and external departments.
  7. Communicate and closely interacts with clients to know their requirements in order to create a smooth activities and or project completion, including enhance the costumer satisfaction to ensure an excellent quality and quantity of work is achieved.
  8. Monitors, reviews, and develops subordinate's performance and assist them during their activities to minimize possibilities of rework and to ensure compliance with time and quality standards required by the client and company.
The key challenges in this position include:
  • Ability to ensure the job of Survey QC/QA, drafting, document control and Develop survey application are correct, accurate and timely. The incumbent should have a strong accuracy, attention to detail, and strict on the schedule.
  • Ability to keep the reliability and availability of survey hardware and software. The incumbent should have strong education and experience regarding the maintenance and usage of the things.
  • Ability to control all survey station and define the project priorities with available resources to achieve company goals
  • Ability to maintain good communication and coordination both internal and external departments in order to collect and define project support from other department in achieving customer satisfaction.

Requirements
The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:
  • Minimum Education & Experience
  • S1 degree in Geodesy with three years experience in mining industry.
