Responsibilities
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with the Product Management, Hardware Development, Software Development, Quality Assurance (QA), Systems Engineering and Manufacturing
- End to end development and delivery of RIM handheld products
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering or similar technical field
- 5 to 8+ years of development management, project management or program management
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate the team in a cross functional environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strengths in meeting objectives through influence, facilitation and team building
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key product stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, or independently
- Motivated, resourceful, team player
- At least an Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering focused on wireless data communications
- At least ten years of relevant product design experience, preferably in wireless data and/or handset development spanning hardware, software and systems design
- Effective leadership abilities, strong interpersonal communications, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Solid understanding of product design, development processes and quality management
