You hold a Master in Industrial Engineering or equivalent and you have at least five years of experience in an international FMCG company, where you have demonstrated technical competencies in material development and/or printing expertise by actively leading developments of innovative packaging components. You are comfortable around higher management and you know how to direct others. You have a solid understanding of engineering and procurement principles and you have the capability to lead complex projects. Your English level is proficient.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Being part of Product Development department of Philip Morris International Management SA in Lausanne, you will develop innovative packaging for tobacco products.Specifically you will:
- Manage, direct and support packaging material component research and development activities.
- You are advanced in Project Management skills and presenting/selling proposals to internal and external customers and stakeholder.
- Translate marketing concepts and consumer needs into valid technical solutions
- Pro-actively search, identify and develop new innovative packaging solutions for our products, focusing on packaging material development (board, paper, flexible) and printing technologies such as gravure and offset.
- Lead productivity initiatives from design to manufacturing
- Guide and partner with internal end external customers and business partners
- Identify new productivity opportunities and communicate/sell to stakeholders
- Develop business cases for projects regarding product, process, equipment, system or facility development or improvement to achieve top industry best practices
- Provide guidance/training to relevant parties to ensure appropriate technical expertise is utilized and transferred at all times to meet resource requirements and departmental goals
